ACADEMIC YEAR

The admission are held July 16 till 31 every year for the local students. For the foreign it extends up to the end of August.

The academic year begins in the second week of September, each year. It is generally called as winter term or the first semester. The winter term prolongs till the later part of January.

The second semester starts from the February 1 and prolongs to the later part of June. In June end exams will be held, to assess your progress. Faculty will offer or extra study hours for those who are felt need. Summer vacation covers the months July and august. Summer is the most wonderful and beautiful period of time in Ukraine. Within the week there are 5 working days, Saturday and Sunday are holidays. The studies are scheduled from 8.00 to 16.00. The student's working week comprises 54 hours, within this time period there are 36 lecturing hours and 18 hours for independent work.

The teaching course period includes the time of teaching semesters, final control and vacations. The teaching year is 12 months long and comprises teaching days, days of final control, examination sessions, off days, celebration and vacation days. Visiting of all the kinds of studies (except for consultations) is obligatory for the students. Violation of teaching rules and inner regulations entails administrative penalties:

• Reproof
• Reprimand
• Strict reprimand
• Expulsion from University.
